The Adventures of Tintin Wins Best Animated Movie in the 2012 Golden Globe Awards

The 2012 Golden Globe Awards Ceremony was recently held last Sunday, on January 15, 2012, at Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California and the red carpet flooded with beautiful and handsome actors and actresses in their elegant and surely expensive gowns and tuxedos. The Golden Globe Award is an annual ceremony which recognized excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign, that’s why stars and filmmakers are really honored if the film or TV series they made wins in the said ceremony.

Among the list of winners in the said prestigious event is Steven Spielberg’s “The Adventures of Tintin” who won as Best Animated Feature Film. In the ceremony, HFPA recognized Spielberg’s work in bringing classic Herge comics to the big screen, in both 3D and in motion picture. No doubt, Spielberg’s work reigned in the movie screen once more, even though the film failed to live up its early buzz in domestic theaters, both critically and at the box office.

Other nominees for the said category were not surprised that “The Adventures of Tintin” was declared the winner for that specific category because in some ways, the outcome for the Best Animated Feature category was already predictable even from the start. The other animated films also nominated for the award are Puss in Boots, dreamWorks Animation’s heir to the “Shrek” movies and Deisney-Pixar’s Cars 2, the first Pixar film t receive less-than-frothy reviews.
