Taylor Swift Wins Entertainer of the Year at ACM

The Academy of Country Music Awards or AMC Awards which was held last Sunday night on April 1, 2012 made Taylor Swift win the “Entertainer of The Year” Award. Upon calling her name as the winner, Swift displayed none of her normal expressions of astonishment. She was very overwhelmed after winning the academy’s top honor for the second year in a row. However, there was also a bad thing that happened not to her but to her supposed-to-be-date for that prestigious night.

The New Jersey teen Kevin McGuire who is fighting cancer is supposed to be Taylor Swift’s date that night but he was admitted to the hospital Friday night, but it wasn’t yet clear as to why he was hospitalized.

“Just talked to Kevin McGuire,” Swift said in a tweet. “He’s not well enough to join me at the ACMs. Please keep him in your thoughts.  I’ll make it up to you, Kevin!” It was really thoughtful of Swift to still remember McGuire even after the Awards night.
