March Cherry’s “Devious Maids” has found a second life and a new home in Lifetime for its upcoming season.
The Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has its newest and latest series, the one which was passed over by ABC earlier this year, was lucky to found a new home at Lifetime TV Network, which has placed a 13-episode series order for the TV program.
The said series will launch on 2013 and Devious Maids is considered to be a soapy drama which is based on the Mexican telenovela “Ellas Son la Alegria del Hogar”. The series follows the exploits of five ambitious maids as they work for wealthy Beverly Hills residents. I bet this is going to be another dramatic series that everybody will look forward to watch this year 2013.
Marc Cherry wrote the pilot season of the said upcoming series and he will executive produce the series at the same time, along with Sabrina Wind of Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria, Paul McGuian of Scandal, Larry Shuman of Kissing Miranda, David Lonner, John Mass, Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
ABC Studios will be the one to produce the series and actress Susan Lucci, the former “All My Children” star, will join the cast along with Ana Ortiz of the “Ugly Betty”. Watch out when the show finally arrives on 2013 and learn more updates about the upcoming series.
